Reliability and Verification Legend

AEGIS ATLAS separates official anchors, public data sources, corroborated OSINT, source-limited baselines, and restricted verification workflows so users understand what each layer can and cannot support.

Official

Direct official or government source used as an anchor when available. Examples include State.gov advisories and official country travel information.

Use: High-confidence source anchor; still verify before operational decisions.

Public API / Data Source

Structured public data source such as economic indicators, reference data, or humanitarian/event APIs.

Use: Good for trend and context; verify recency and methodology.

Corroborated OSINT

Multiple open-source reports or event signals indicate the same incident, trend, or risk condition.

Use: Useful for awareness and monitoring; confidence increases with source diversity.

Single-Source / Source-Limited

One source, limited match, unmapped country record, or baseline AEGIS estimate where official data is not matched.

Use: Use as a planning prompt, not a final determination.

Restricted Verification Required

Information category may exist in access-controlled systems such as FCG/APACS and should not be scraped or publicly republished.

Use: AEGIS provides workflow prompts and official links; authorized users must verify in the authoritative system.
